At Safe Zone, we use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Active Healing Therapy (AHT) to help you navigate the challenges of life, relationships, and personal growth. CBT is a proven, practical approach that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors that may be holding you back.


Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive environment where you can openly explore your emotions and experiences. Through CBT, & AHT we help you develop the skills to:

At The Coping Lab we are dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment where individuals and families can heal from trauma, manage stress, and foster personal growth. Our unique approach blends traditional talk therapy with hands-on, engaging activities to help clients explore and manage their emotions in healthy, constructive ways. Led by Imari Melton, a Marriage and Family Therapist, The Coping Lab provides personalized, trauma-informed care tailored to each individual's needs.

Rage Room Lab

Rage Room Lab: Provides a controlled space to release pent-up anger and frustration in a safe, cathartic environment.

Sensory Lab

Sensory Lab: Focuses on calming the mind and body using sensory-based tools like aromatherapy, textures, and soothing sounds.

Music Lab

Music Lab: Uses the power of music to process emotions, offering opportunities to listen, create, and express through sound.

Expressive Art Lab

Expressive Art Lab: Allows clients to explore their emotions through creative outlets like drawing, sculpting, and crafting.

Game Lab: Engages clients in interactive activities and games designed to boost social connection and emotional regulation.

Relaxation Lab: Provides techniques such as guided meditation, deep breathing, and mindfulness to reduce stress and promote calm.

Imari Melton is a registered Intern marriage and family therapist and the visionary behind The Coping Lab. With a passion for helping individuals and families heal from trauma, Imari uses a holistic approach that combines talk therapy with active, engaging activities in a safe, nurturing environment. Her mission is to guide clients through the process of healing, offering tailored coping strategies that foster emotional well-being and growth.
